Muse - Black Holes and Revelations

So I started listening to this album like two days ago and have probably heard the entire thing a good 10 times and like it just as much, if not more than I did initially. It’s kick ass. If you look at my Last.FM profile you can see my long streak of listening to Muse. Its like a nice new modern day Oasis (even though Oasis isn’t really not modern day). Its always nice finding a new band and also coming across a solid start to finish album. One that really doesn’t have any weaknesses. They bring a lot of different stuff to their core sound. Stuff ranging from violins and pianos on top of the soaring vocals and solid rock core. I highly recommend anyone listen to it, its fantastic stuff. I will probably switch over to another of their albums soon when I start working on more programming. I may get started on Pac-man, I have the core done on Tetris, I will probably post a link to the compiled thing when I finish polishing off the core, Ryan is going to do the AI, so I hope it works fine…

2 interviews

So I got invited for an interview for a second company this morning. I now have one interview on Wednesday with Produce Pro, a software company that does specialized software for produce companies, and next Wednesday I have an interview with Blue Horseshoe Solutions, a software company that does systems solutions for various clients. I also am going to try and talk to a few companies at the Indiana High Tech Job Fair on Wednesday. So wish me luck…

free time at last

I have just finished my third exam and finally have some free time beyond school, at least hopefully. I have been entertaining trying another design, even though it probably won’t be used for a while, I just want to have something in the works for whenever I get bored of this one. I realized that I really don’t update the gallery at all. I plan on dragging my camera around campus for a while taking pictures of the places I frequent. Like my room, labs, campus in general. I will probably procrastinate some of my programming this weekend by either coding and styling the movie section or by trying to set up the MythBuntu on the mythTV box.

I have already began thinking about and semi planning my life after college. I am pretty sure I will be getting a smart phone, and unless some big, nice, new smart phone comes out before then, I’m leaning towards the HTC Touch something (there are a few versions) or the Samsung Omnia. I also have thought about and am sure I will build a new computer eventually after graduating. Then I would probably turn this tower into something, I’m thinking a Linux file server, and possibly move the web server over to it. Not sure though. I do want to bring the two monitors over to the new one and add some big LCD to it, like 30 inches or 24. I figure I won’t do a whole lot more with my money beyond get a basic

apartment and buy food. Oh well, I’m going out to drink at the cactus tonight
